James W. Cunningham, CPA

James W. Cunningham will continue to serve as CEO of Warren Averett, LLC. Jim Cunningham began work at Warren Averett in 1979 and served as the Firm’s Chief Operating Officer for 11 years prior to his role as CEO. Jim has extensive management consulting experience with privately owned businesses. He has consulted with companies to design and implement strategic business plans, assist with mergers and acquisitions, exit strategies and various shareholder matters, and to restructure debt and raise capital. Jim also has experience in accounting systems design, financial management reporting systems and tax planning.

Rafael (Ralph) Garcia Jr. will serve as Managing Member of Warren Averett Pender Newkirk. Ralph Garcia has been practicing in the public accounting profession since 1978. His primary focus is directing the activities of the firm and implementing strategies as determined by the partner group of the firm. He has been involved as team leader in all phases of audits, reviews, compilations, consulting, and tax services. His industry experience includes, but is not limited to, all areas of distribution, warehousing and wholesaling, as well as construction contractors, purchase cooperatives, real estate management, software development, professional service organizations and light manufacturing and production.

Richard C. Ingwersen, CPA, PFS
Richard C. Ingwersen, CPA, PFS

Richard C. Ingwersen, CPA, PFS will continue to serve as founding Managing Member of Warren Averett GH&I. Prior to founding GH&I in 1980, Richard Ingwersen spent seven years in the tax department of Arthur Young & Company (now Ernst & Young). Richard has been recognized for his professional and community leadership and has received a number of awards including: the 2008 Outstanding Alumnus for Auburn’s School of Accountancy, the Leading Edge Alliance “Innovative Firm Leader of the Year” (2003), and the GSCPA Public Service Award (1992). The Downtown YMCA named him “Volunteer of the Year” in three different years, and Richard is a top fundraiser for the organization’s annual “Partner with Youth Campaign.” Throughout his career, Richard has also been asked to serve as an instructor on tax topics locally and nationally.
